Celebrating 75 Years of ARRL Affiliation
Special Event Station W7EK
On February 25th we celebrated our 75th year of affiliation with the ARRL. We had a club on-air special event with most of our active members getting some air time. We were on from 9am to 9pm that Saturday and made over 300 phone contacts. We made a special QSL card for the event that went out to each station contacted within the USA. We also posted all contacts on LoTW so stations outside the USA postage rates can get credit for the contact. It was a great time for all involved and was followed up with a work party a month later to get the QSLs in the mail. Again, lots of fun for club members gathered around the table to assemble the cards with contact confirmation and addresses then stamps ready for the Monday mail.
